These Terms and Conditions exclusively govern the contractual relationship between Cittadinanza Desk and any consumer of legal age acting for non-commercial purposes (hereinafter "the Client"). The Client’s acceptance, upon validating the order during the checkout process, constitutes full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms.
Subject matter and service description
Cittadinanza Desk offers its clientele a strategic diagnostic service called the Eligibility & Strategy Assessment (hereinafter "the Assessment"), intended to evaluate the Client’s theoretical eligibility for Italian citizenship by descent (jure sanguinis) and to identify the most appropriate legal pathway for a possible recognition application.
The Assessment is based on the declarative information provided by the Client during the online questionnaire and on the supporting documents the Client agrees to upload after payment confirmation. The analysis is conducted by an analyst experienced in Italian citizenship law, with assistance from artificial intelligence tools for the preliminary phase.
The service includes the following deliverables, provided to the Client within the 48 business hours following receipt of all required documents:
- A personalized strategic PDF document of 15 to 25 pages, including the detailed legal diagnosis, identification of the applicable pathway (Classic jure sanguinis pathway, 1948 Court pathway, Accelerated Naturalization pathway), the roadmap of steps to take, realistic timelines, and a prioritized list of documents to obtain.
- 30 days of direct WhatsApp access to a senior analyst, starting from delivery of the Assessment, for all follow-up questions relating to the diagnosis.
Price and payment terms
The price of the Assessment is 249 € inclusive of all taxes, payable in full at the time of order. This price is a one-time payment; it includes no hidden costs, no subscription, and no recurring billing.
The billing currency is the euro (EUR). If the Client’s payment method is denominated in another currency, conversion is performed by the Client’s bank or by Stripe at the time of charge, at the prevailing exchange rate; Cittadinanza Desk has no control over the exchange rate applied.
Payment is made exclusively online via the Stripe Checkout platform, certified PCI-DSS Level 1. Accepted payment methods are bank cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Cittadinanza Desk never receives or stores the Client’s full banking details.
The invoice is issued after payment confirmation and sent to the Client by email, in accordance with Article 289 of the French General Tax Code. The Client may request a copy of the invoice at any time, for 10 years, by sending a simple email to billing@cittadinanzadesk.com.
Ordering process
The ordering process takes place in four successive stages, each marked by an express validation by the Client. At any time before the final validation, the Client may modify the responses or abandon the order without consequence.
- Stage 1 — Completion of the online questionnaire. The Client answers a series of questions about their family situation, their Italian connection, and their motivations. This stage commits to nothing.
- Stage 2 — Receipt of the free preliminary diagnostic. After the questionnaire, the Client receives a free preliminary analysis that non-exhaustively identifies the viability of the case.
- Stage 3 — Order validation and payment. If the Client wishes to proceed with the full Assessment, they validate the order by clicking the dedicated button. At this stage, the Client must have read these Terms and accepted them expressly. The Client also confirms the express waiver of the right of withdrawal, under the conditions set out in section VI.
- Stage 4 — Upload of supporting documents. After payment confirmation, the Client uploads the documents required for the analysis (civil-status records, certificates, etc.) in a secure area. The 48-business-hour delivery period for the Assessment begins to run from receipt of all required documents.
Delivery time
The contractual delivery period for the Assessment is 48 business hours from receipt of all required documents. Business hours are understood as working days (Monday to Friday), excluding French statutory holidays.
If the uploaded documents prove insufficient or require clarification, we will contact the Client by email or WhatsApp within 12 business hours. The 48-hour period is suspended for the time needed to receive the additional information and resumes as soon as the file is complete.
In the exceptional case where the 48-hour period cannot be met for reasons attributable to Cittadinanza Desk, the Client will be informed by email indicating the new expected timeline. If the delay exceeds 72 business hours, the Client may request a full refund of the Assessment without justification, in accordance with Article L216-2 of the French Consumer Code.
Right of withdrawal and express waiver
In accordance with Article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code, the Client is in principle entitled to a 14-calendar-day right of withdrawal from the conclusion of the contract, without having to justify reasons and without bearing costs other than those provided for by law.
However, pursuant to Article L221-28, 1° of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal may NOT be exercised in respect of contracts for the provision of services fully performed before the end of the withdrawal period, where performance began with the consumer’s prior express consent and with their express acknowledgment of the loss of the right of withdrawal, once the service has been fully performed by the trader.
Because the Assessment is a digital service delivered within a maximum of 48 business hours — less than the 14-day withdrawal period — we offer the Client two mutually exclusive options at the time of order:
- Option A — Express waiver of the right of withdrawal. The Client expressly accepts, by checking a dedicated box before payment validation, that the service will be performed immediately and expressly acknowledges that the right of withdrawal is therefore lost pursuant to Article L221-28, 1° of the French Consumer Code. Performance of the service begins upon receipt of the required documents. In return, the Client retains the benefit of the 30-day satisfaction guarantee detailed in section VII.
- Option B — Preservation of the right of withdrawal. If the Client does not check the express waiver box, the 14-day right of withdrawal is preserved in full. In that case, Cittadinanza Desk will not begin performance of the service before the end of the withdrawal period, which delays delivery of the Assessment by at least 14 calendar days.
If the Client has chosen Option B and wishes to exercise the right of withdrawal, it is sufficient to notify us by email at billing@cittadinanzadesk.com with the simple statement: "I wish to withdraw from order no. [reference]". The full refund will be made via the same payment method within a maximum of 14 calendar days from receipt of the request.
Satisfaction guarantee
Cittadinanza Desk offers its Clients a 30-calendar-day satisfaction guarantee from delivery of the Assessment. This guarantee is contractual and is in addition to the applicable statutory warranties (warranty of conformity and warranty against hidden defects).
The satisfaction guarantee covers the following cases:
- Justified dissatisfaction with the technical quality of the analysis (superficial analysis, legal reasoning errors, lack of personalization to the Client’s case).
- Demonstrable factual errors in the analysis (incorrect legal citations, wrong dates, incorrect identification of the applicable legislation).
- Manifest omissions in the analysis of the case (an applicable legal pathway not mentioned, a significant risk not identified, etc.).
The satisfaction guarantee does NOT cover the following cases:
- Client’s dissatisfaction with the preliminary conclusion (for example, if the analysis concludes that the Client is not eligible, this does not constitute grounds for a refund).
- Change of mind by the Client regarding the Italian citizenship project.
- Legislative or case-law developments subsequent to delivery of the Assessment.
- Client’s inability to obtain the supporting documents required for the subsequent application phase.
- Unfavorable decisions issued by the Italian or other foreign authorities on the final application.
To exercise the satisfaction guarantee, the Client must send a reasoned request by email to billing@cittadinanzadesk.com within 30 calendar days of receipt of the Assessment. The request must specifically identify the disputed elements. After review, the refund will be made within a maximum of 14 calendar days via the same payment method.
Refunds
The refund procedures — whether under the statutory right of withdrawal, the contractual satisfaction guarantee, or any other applicable basis — are detailed in our dedicated Refund Policy.
Limitation of liability
Clarity on the scope and limits of our liability is essential. Cittadinanza Desk undertakes an obligation of means, not of result, as to the quality of the analysis provided. The following clarifications detail the precise contours of our services and the respective responsibilities of the parties.
The Assessment service provides a preliminary strategic analysis based on the declarative information provided by the Client and on the documents uploaded. The quality of the analysis depends directly on the accuracy and completeness of the information transmitted. The Client warrants the accuracy of the information communicated.
The service DOES NOT INCLUDE the following services, which may be performed by an Italian lawyer specializing in this matter, an Italian consulate, or the competent Italian comune (municipality):
- Legal representation of the Client before Italian or French authorities.
- The performance of administrative procedures on the Client’s behalf (filing a case with a consulate, comune procedure, recourse before the Tribunal of Rome for 1948 cases, etc.).
- Verification of the authenticity of civil-status documents provided by the Client. This verification is the Client’s responsibility and, where applicable, that of the issuing authorities.
- Retrieval of civil-status documents from Italian comune (this service may be offered separately, outside the Assessment).
- Sworn translation of documents.
- Obtaining Hague Apostilles.
Cittadinanza Desk warrants the quality of the analysis provided but cannot, under any circumstances, guarantee the effective obtaining of Italian citizenship, which depends on factors outside our control: Italian administrative decisions, legislative developments, completeness of the available documents, consular positions, jurisprudence of the Tribunal of Rome for 1948 cases, etc.
Cittadinanza Desk’s liability is strictly limited to the price of the Assessment actually paid by the Client, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence. This limitation does not apply to personal injury or to cases where the limitation is prohibited by law.
Intellectual property
All elements of the cittadinanzadesk.com site (texts, images, graphics, logo, icons, video, source code) are the exclusive property of Cittadinanza Desk or its licensors, and are protected by French and international intellectual property law.
The Assessment PDF document delivered to the Client is licensed to the Client for exclusive personal use. The Client expressly undertakes not to reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, lend to a third party, or use it for commercial purposes without prior written authorization.
Civil-status documents and other supporting materials uploaded by the Client remain the Client’s exclusive property. Cittadinanza Desk uses them only for the provision of the service and retains them under the conditions set out in the Privacy Policy.
Personal data protection
The processing of the Client’s personal data in connection with the provision of the service is governed by our dedicated Privacy Policy, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions, as well as the contractual relationship between Cittadinanza Desk and the Client, are exclusively governed by French law. The English version is provided for the convenience of our English-speaking clientele; in the event of an interpretive divergence, the French version will prevail if one has been established.
In the event of a dispute, the Client, as a consumer, may bring the matter before the court of the place of their domicile or the court of the place where Cittadinanza Desk has its registered office (Tribunal of Paris), in accordance with Article 14 of Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012 (Brussels I bis).
Before any legal action, the parties undertake to seek an amicable solution to the dispute. The Client may refer the matter to a consumer mediator in accordance with Articles L611-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code. The list of registered mediators is available on the website of the French Ministry of the Economy.

General provisions
If any provision of these Terms is held to be void or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. Cittadinanza Desk and the Client then agree to replace the void provision with a valid provision of equivalent economic effect.
The failure by Cittadinanza Desk to enforce, at any given time, the strict performance of any provision of these Terms may not be construed as a waiver of the right to enforce it subsequently.
These Terms may be amended at any time. The version applicable to the order is the one in force on the date the Client validates the order. Material changes will be notified to the Client by email with reasonable advance notice.
